Rather than writing a full review which wouldn't add much from what has already been said, I'll list here the details that impressed me: I loved being thrown into the zone with only a character backstory, a vague goal and multiple destinations without any kind of hand-holding. then what did I NOT do for freedom ? they are green (friendly), all quests that were possible or had choices I decided/did for them. And still he says he trusts ME but he still doesn't wanna take them in.

Thanks, that clears things up! To be honest, though, I can't say I'm buying into that usage, they're stand-alone games in my book.

Jupiter was great. I was there in total darkness without NV. I'd never seen those teleporting dogs before. Freaked me out.

not any "news" that I know of besides that they are working on a new STALKER and after months of speculation regarding which engine they will use (the cryengine2/3 came up a few times) they still have not disclosed that information yet. I'm not sure which one you mean. There were quite a few in which stalkers distorted their voices. F.e. about controller, bloodsucker, "black stalker". Try to make an English transcription of the first sentence, or the last, or what is said in distorted voice.

I've had this in other games. It's called mouse smoothing. A quick google suggests that typing cam_inert 0.7 cam_slide_inert 0.25 in the console would work. Another thing to try is toggling vsync, playing around with the prerender frames setting for your graphics card, or installing Windows XP again.
