Quake 4 - has sections the where marine squads are crawling around in dark claustrophobic hallways, with rifle mounted torches. Aliens jump out at them.
Gears of War 1 & 2 - Quite a few sections. Eg when you first encounter the exploding Reavers in the first game. The run down laboratory level in the second game where an AI is taunting you.

To be fair, it was shown (and I believe playable) at the
Eurogamer Expo, so I wouldn't say it's had no press. Still, marketing certainly isn't in overdrive.

though I acknowledge the already demonstrated potential of adding new interesting elements to something already good, I don't believe remakes from one media to film format are desirable in general, especially when what makes the media interesting in the first place is interactivity
i would enjoy a feature length
