My accupuncturist highly recommends vitex, but you can't take it if you're on any other fertility medications. I've heard people refer to it as the "natural clomid." However, I've also heard that if your cycles aren't irregular (like late or no ovulation) that you shouldn't use it. In that case Red Rasberry Leaf tea is a better herb to take. I have irregular cycles and ovulate late. Vitex does...

Well I was doing a CD3 test but CD4 was earliest I could get in. I'm not sure why he did progesterone, but he did just about everything and that was one thing that caught his attention. I'm not really sure what to think about it __________________

should I ask to be monitored?
Published (2009-11-10 01:39:00)
My doc didn't monitor me at all. I was on 100mg days 3 to 7. No ultrasounds or bloodwork. I think it's the norm not to monitor but really if you want to know that the clomid is working and not thining your lining then why don't you ask them to do some monitoring. Good luck :-)

cysts and clomid???
Published (2009-11-14 17:39:00)
I think I have a cyst! I could be just a functioning cyst because it actually hurts. Should I be concerned about Clomid not working because of it??

Sorry to see that. Are you continuing accupuncture?

The clomid will work with a cyst or not. People are often not monitored when they are on clomid and more than likely have cysts during those cycles. You'll be okay I have had cyst(s) every single cycle since starting clomid. They come and go on their own. If you're concerned about the cyst, you could have them do a blood draw on cd3 to see if it's an active cyst.

I know exactly how you feel, I have done 2 cycles of follistim with the ovidrel trigger and then IUI, and a couple of hours afterwards the cramping and bloating start. I could hardly stand up straight. It's normal especially with the ovidrel, I use a heating pad which helps tremendously and tylenol. Also my RE said to drink lots of gatoraid which I find helps alot, I think it's the ...

I would definately ask why you aren't being monitored. I didn't get u/s's but my Dr did at least preform progesterone tests to see if it worked. OPK's aren't reliable for everyone.

Progesterone
My doc did lots of blood work as you ladies know. And that was on CD4. He said my progesterone was 1.8 which is apparently really low. What would be considered normal at CD4 or around that area?
