Having watched the ROC movie again (on DVD this time) it didn't seem as good to me as it did after the first theater viewing, and things seemed a little more lame than before. maybe it's all the negative chatter I've read about it, and things I picked up on, that I let slip by on the first viewing? Snake Eyes seemed even more lame to me and I really don't like his look in this movie. The fat and bulky rubber suit irritated...

nah, don't hear much about Dog these days. Ran into his wife and some extended family in the mall a while back though. Yup, I am pretty sure I could nab both those guys for the $7.99 retail if they're not on sale. Joes seem to move slower here, so I should be able to find those harder to find figures that sold out so long ago on the mainland.

Viper Hunter, on 16 December 2009 - 01:19 AM, said: I always thought the reason why Snake Eyes should have been kept a badass Commando, with lots of hand-to-hand combat skills and training, instead of a super hero ninja, was because he was Caucasian? The American Ninja movies were hilarious they were so campy and moronic. Throw a ninja in the ring for a UFC battle, and they'll be crushed. Put a UFC fighter in a ninja suit and throw him...

I was always the commando fan, The Americas Elite comic had best when snake turned Commando and Storm shadow was the token joe Ninja.

I think its because in the comics and later cartoons, like spytroops, Valor vs. Venom and even Resolute, Snake Eyes was the Joe that could pretty much get anything done. He was a Joe that was primarily a commando, but also had Ninja training from the Arashikage clan. Add that to his hidden face behind a black mask. You've got a Joe that can sneak into a Cobra base. Steal intel, wire it to blow and get out before anyone's even raised...

A friend who works at Walmart said he saw some there last night. I went there today and that was the ONE figure they didn't have. Goddamnit. Yep my Walmart just started getting these. Nano & Desert etc... So now Target is the only ones lagging behind everyone...

No, it's IDW still. But from what's been posted, they're going back to those stories that were left unfilled from the Marvel era. Basically, it should be the Joe verse circa 1994-1995. As far as relevance, it would be more for the die hard fans who followed those Joe adventures. I mean, they did leave some stories unresolved (I don't think they were even mostly discussed in the DDP run). If ...
