Quote: Am I the only one not keen on the term "high cap" mags? More like standard mags for the gun they are made for. High cap makes me think of a Glock 33 rounder or a M-4 with a c-mag. High cap flush sounds oxymoronic. I'm probably preaching to the choir though. You're right, best way I could put it though. I'm back in the market for an autoloading 9 and really want to make it count, as I have many other...

A few years ago I paid $630 NIB for my Kimber Custom II, and it is the best gun I have ever bought. If I had to replace it, I would look hard at an STI Spartan.

Both are excellent but 9mm is cheaper and almost as effective with a high quality load. I vote G19 (and to back up my statement, I have one!).

Then its too small (even with finger extension) to use as a target gun... really odd place to justify owning one for myself since i can't open carry in my state. JOe

A slimmer compact and sub compact line. Just so it can shut Kahr out for years of bad advertising.

I agree with Novalty's recommendations. AFA recommending a carry piece, all anyone can tell you is what works for them. Many will tell you it's almost impossible to carry a full-size. I carry a five-inch with a magwell. May not work for you though. I will say comfort should be about the last thing considered. As Clint Smith says, "A gun should be comforting, not comfortable." Good luck.

It's taken into account when you sight in the gun. Tilting barrels are used to lock up the barrel into the slide at the time the round is fired, tilting down to unlock the barrel and allowing the slide to fully travel. Straight blow-back pistols only work against the recoil spring. You start getting above a .380, the guns become real chunky and heavy, as in "Hi-Point" About at this ...

I have a GSG5 and about 1500 rounds through it. Almost stupidly accurate and has never bobbled a round. Hasn't been cleaned either and its still going. I've run everything from mini-mags to ceap Federal promo ammo through it. Can't wait to see the 1911.

I would not buy a Sig assembled or manufactured by Exter. I currently own 10+ Sigs and none of them have given me any trouble and none of them were assemble in Exter. They are not the company they used to be. The US entity is trading on the name and the quality of the old world guns.

I may be wrong here, but I think the manual that came with mine says you need to send it in to HK for the conversion. Nice choice going with the USP. Mine's a .40

I think it has to do with not wanting the pistol to fire if bumped. I think with the hammer resting on the fire pin is not a good idea. The pistol is designed to be carried cocked and locked.

Most cops and soldiers know ONLY about the service weapons they carry. The police force and the military are not places to learn a lot about such things. I would not have hesitated to tell him that he needs to learn about a gun before he lectures about it.

Some of my favorite pistols are .32 ACP, but that's not what I carry. If that were all I had then that would be my choice. From my experience in shooting at solid objects and seeing the penetration, given a choice I would not go for less power than a .380. When I carry, it's usually a 9mm. Then there's the argument about shot placement and I am a pretty decent shot but I would rather have more ...

Remington 700 Tactical in .308 and a decent Mil Dot scope w/good mounts and rings. Lasermax guide rod and Trijicon night sights for my G19 Possibly an ACOG for my M4. Mags, a new single point sling, and other goodies for my M4 as well. I'm pretty much set with pistols.

Why? Not much smaller (if at all) than a Kahr PM9 in FULL 9mm WITH a magazine activated slide lock.

Haven't heard about it, but that sounds interesting. I kind of like 3rd Gen Glocks as they are though. I really hope Glock doesn't stop making them, even if they do come out with a new style. Sometimes no-frills is the best option.
