I don't know about Toronto, but the OPP has a group that go to different area's of Ontario, and all they do is give out tickets whether you are 5km over and no reduction. What happened is shitty and you probably got a newbie on the force and were all ordered to ticket the shit out of people as the city needs money.

Not a lawyer, but some info for you to keep in mind, this has happened a lot over the years with the advancement of technology, especially with sales people. Many companies had their employees work from home as long as there was internet connection and a phone. What did you do for the company? Sales? Marketing? Ops? Admin?

Depends on what you consider torture. I'm against what I consider torture (beatings, pulling nails, etc) on moral and practical grounds.
However, there are some perfectly legitimate but unpleasant interrogation techniques that can get the job done with no lasting damage.

Unfortunately there are a fair number of not very well informed low level employees such as this who don't have the common sense to call a supervisor.
That said I can imagine that Mr. Bierfeldt was exhibiting a certain amount of Libertarian intransigence to the TSA Officers. He really should have if he did not, have kept asking to speak with a supervisor and also should have stated that...

I wouldn't ask her to stop, but she might decide to do so anyway or you might get used to the idea - these are things you have to sort out for yourself.
