And here I was thinking in terms of duty cycle. You'd have to hook up a scope to know for sure.

I'm not sure how much my head will have taken out of it, but worth speaking
to Jabbasport as they seem to be doing some interesting work on flowing the
pd130/150 (same part) heads.

arinder,
read through the thread. You need to be well aware of what exactly is going on with this mod before you do it or like it is stated above you will potentially wreck your engine. To answer your question: yes. Read through the forum to find what pins to bridge as the mk3's have a different wiring harness than my mk4

Ok. I'm full. No more please.
I've gotta say I'm there. I've finally gotten enough power from this little motor. In the past four weeks I've installed a 12mm pump head, updated RC6 tune, and Colt stage 2 cam.....
The car is an absolute terror now. I'm actually fearful to give it full throttle. I've never before been hesitant to floor it, but now its truly scary.... ...

If you jumper 12v to the shutoff what happens? Do you get fuel at the injectors then?

I believe Rocketchip has something for these, but it is only a mild increase. The exhaust aftertreatment imposes some new limitations.
Changing the exhaust system is also not likely to accomplish much. The stock exhaust system has a "throttle" in it to encourage flow through the low-pressure EGR system, by creating deliberate back-pressure. The exhaust aftertreatment is extremely tightly ...

I think you will need to post pictures in another manner. The pure number results look promising, though, especially the torque.

I was thinking about that one day when I put a short shifter in a mk5/6-speed... it looks like it would fit in the car with minimal to no modification.. the speedo drive shouldn't be too big of an issue as long as there is a speed sensor somewhere on the unit.. a signal converter would take care of the signal difference if the mk4 computer/cluster isn't happy..

I didn't want to mess with that servo operated VNT vanes. Even with pressure operation it won't be easy to make it work in my car.

Watercooling has almost nothing to do with its longevity unless you shut the engine off immediately after hard driving. We have used gt17v and gt17va with gasser engines (600cc) with no problems at all (track driving + some thousand kilometres on the back roads). Now building a 1000cc V-2 with gt25v and 2.5L with gt40v. Both gassers.

In my humble opinion that is way too much oil!
I'd check the turbo out.
