I would never EVER buy an Yaris. I rented one once... I prefer the Hyundai Accent to it. I'll leave it at that.

Last weekend, I was up in peterborough, on the way home I drove down to Port Hope before getting on the 401 west. I don't remember where the hash marks started, but they definately are farther east than oshawa. I think they were on 401 westbound around 115/35. I would think up in the air, that they would measure you going from 1 hash mark, skip next one, and time to hit the 3rd hashmark. = 1km. 100km/h = 100km/3600secs - 1km = 36 secs...

Tomorrow's gas prices today

Hi folks, Here is a useful link that will tell you "next day's" gas and diesel prices. This is not a prediction, but a fact. The site is kept by some liberal duder. Warning: there is a lot of Liberal propaganda in the page, please don't start a political discussion, just use it as a useful tool. Basically, he posts the next day's prices between 4 and 5pm, everyday. The prices might not match EXACTLY to your...

With all this debate about winter tires, I am very curious how many people actually install winter tires. As you're probably all aware, as of the 15th of December, it is the law in Quebec.

There is an application for the iphone but my numbers went for 57 mpg to to 39 and i dont believe my kilometers per tank have changed so im not trusting this application any more.

I finally found a parts sled at a reasonable price - been looking all summer, can't believe the prices people ask for 15 year old junkers! I talked the seller into delivering it to my house @ DVP & Sheppard, now I need to get it from there to my cottage in Muskoka. I don't have a hitch on my TDI, and I think the sled is a little heavy for my roof rack If anyone here knows someone who will...

Well, my wife and I both have jobs in town now, so that will save a ton of fuel; but now there is no point in the diesel for us, so time to sell the TDI. 2002 Silver Jetta TDI, 236k highway kms, winter tires installed, plus set of all seasons off rims. .205 Kermas, 1500W zero-start heater, auto (rebuilt 40k ago) with tranny cooler installed, pw, ps, pb, abs, pdl, p/heated mirrors, am/fm/...

I have my original kp39 turbo about 170,000 on it. Was working great. Replaced it with vnt17 for performance reasons. VNT17 BEW, has about 20k on it. It was working when it came out. Replaced it with 1856 for performance reasons. I'd rather talk price after you have seen turbo, and or discussed things. I have always been fair. Thanks.

So, if you didn't drive a diesel, what would you drive? Me, replace the Jetta with an Eos and the Passat with a CC.

I am replacing a shock on my snowmobile, and need to compress the spring so that I can get it onto the shock. Does anyone know of any place in the Richmond Hill area that I can rent/borrow a spring compressor? Does Canadian Tire loan them out? What about if you did not buy the part there?

This is for Alligator tune. It requires few WOT runs, from 15,00 rpm to the limit and 40km/h to 140km/h. So, Alligator guys, plz tell me where or how you did it. (I don't want to get any trouble from cops.) Thank you

As most of you know, I b**ch and complain about my little DieselStink plenty. Ever since Techmax Auto and Bero Motors had their paws on it in February 2007, I haven't trusted it. My fuel mileage compared to the most of you sucks as well. I've been getting around 6.5L/100kms in the city (worst tank was 7.5K/100kms) and I drive like a granny. Taking off slowly from the line, etc. I also get ...

I ordered a (D.G I.P) seal kit from USPS a few days back. I waited patiently all excited for the order to arrive at my door. I was home this morning, didn't hear a knock on my door at all. I checked my mail while the garbage guys were doing their routine pickup. I see this Canada Post delivery notice. Looks like they just dropped the notice in the mail without even trying to knock on my door. So ...

I recently moved to a new apartment with no outlet, so I can't plug in my car in the mornings like I used to. Last week when it got below -10, it took a good 10 seconds of cranking to get it running. I've done all the troubleshooting I can do and haven't found anything wrong - glow plugs are new and working properly, no compression leaks etc. I'm starting to think it might just be normal......
