Backup and Substitute queston

BTW, the Defenders have readying effects from Dr. Strange and a PT or two...this means you can get double the backup bonuses. For instance, when Dr. Strange-5 enters play, you put a "ready target character" on the chain. You can then chain a Backup activation to that, giving a bonus to Dr. Strange now that he's in play. Strange gets the bonus, and then your Backup guy readies...who can then do regular attacks, or can...

Cheers guys, so it kinda works like The Captain then. What happens if you have two out though? Do they work individually from eachother?

Well the wording is a bit confusing but the way I see it at the start of the combat phase you choose an affiliation among the ones you have in play. The team-up then crosses over all the affiliations that have been chosen at the start of the Combat Phase.

Back up is an Activated Effect that can only be used in the build phase, at any time durrin the build phase (durring your recruit/formation step or your opponet's), and Substitue allows you to remove a READY character you contol from the game and "sub in" a Substitue character with a cost less than or equal to the chacter you removed from the game for free (this checks uniqueness) use only ...

Here Comes Tomorrow, Team-Up Ongoing At the start of the combat phase, choose an affiliation among characters you control. Crossover all affiliations chosen this way. I'm not sure if I'm reading this right. Does this mean that if I choose Secret Society, all affiliated characters that are in play immediately gain this affiliation?

Hey there fellow VS-ers. I don't think I've posted here before cause blurscrib usually posts here asking the questions for us. This time I decided to take initiative! I've actually got 2 questions at the top of my head at the moment, so here goes. 1) I have already played the 4-Drop Brood, got it stunned and have removed it from the game to give my hulks the ability Quote:...

I have seen a bunch of people having a few difficulties with the new key word SHIFT. Now I am no expert on the subject but I do feel like I have got a firm grasp on the subject (no sex jokes please). Anyway this is all the info I could gather and as simple as I can explain it. (1) The keyword Shift means: Pay 1 or more resource points >>> Remove this card from the game shifted with that ...

I thought I understood this gaining name business and while I do play them correctly I just have a few questions and issues that bother me. 1) Lets say I have a Punisher and because of Carrying the Torch he gains the name Iron Man. Now what is my characters name? Is he: a) Punisher Iron Man b) Punisher, Iron Man c) PunisherIron Man d) Punisher/Iron Man e) none of the above, if so which ...

Okay here is one I have I also run HoG deck and I run Morg on the 4th. His power lets it that when he stuns a character return that character to its owners had. Here is the question if me and my opponent are both running Morg and we both stun each other do they both go back to our hands or what? Same goes with the Darkside that when he stuns he returns to so if him and Morg stun eachother...

Here's a few things that my friend and I disagree on, so I'm looking for some help from people who know the rules better than us heh. 1. Alaris - Inhumans, "Pay 2 endurance -> Exchange the position of Alaris and an Inhumans character you control." Does his power let you exchange himself (visible) and a hidden character? 2. Aunt May "At the start of the recovery phase, gain 1 endurance ...

i read up a bit on the rules and noticed that substitute is a "reveal this card etc" power. my question about this is for all intents and purposes; is sub'ing at say... i guess instant speed? like its something i can do in response to something? aswsumeing i'm in my recruit step and w/e else needs to be required. i'm of course asking would i be able to do it inresponse to someone doing something ...

okay for you 6 drop question. No you can not target himself. In order to ready a character they must be non-stunned. Once they are stunned you can not ready them. Since his power reads ready target character you can not use it on himself. Maybe if it read recover and ready targer character you could. drp 7 Calculator's yes you can use his power multiple times in commbat since you do not ...
