Interestingly, I set off my fuel pump shutoff switch while messing with this gonna swap out to another keyless module and see what happens.

cruise sometimes works
Published (2009-11-06 22:34:00)
The horn grounds directly to the center shaft, so it's not affected by the clockspring. The clockspring has the wires for the airbag and cruise control. It is a ribbon type wire that winds flat around a hub. Sort of like the ribbon wires used in PC connections? The problem with mine was at about an inch from the base of the coil. The wires got stretched and frayed the copper wire in the casing. So at a certain point it would break contact...

I can't see the pics because work internet blocks photobucket, but the keyless module is the one just ahead of the fuel cutoff switch behind the carpet. I could understand if unplugging it took out your interior lights though since it turns them on when you unlock the doors/hit the trunk button.

healight plugs

yes you can replace them very easily just got to autozone or any auto parts store and pick up new plugs, cut the old ones out and splice in , solder, and heat shrink the new ones just make sure you keep the wires in the correct order and do one at a time.

Bad bulb or lose connection on the rear corner/tail bulbs. Get new bulbs, clean up your connections... had the same problem... ~MG~

Looking for Mirror Schematics
Published (2009-11-09 23:08:00)
How did you plan on centering the Mark mirrors where the Tbirds mounted ? I am putting some Gen1 Mark mirrors on my Bird now - the housings are more similar than the Gen 2 style, the last time I put Mark mirrors on a Bird, it was more of a guess and check type of deal. This time I am trying to get the mirrors centered more or less where the Tbird ones originally went.

Does the battery light come on when the gauge reads low? If so it can be the voltage regulator or the alternator. My gauge would go low and the bettery light would come on. I replaced the alternator and had no problems since.

I put a double din Pioneer AVH-p4000dvd in my bird. I just cut the little bar that separates the original AC and radio holes. Then I moved my A/C controls to the bottom, it works great except for the big gap at the top (like an inch or so). Later on I will be putting LEDs in plexiglass for indicator lights and I'm filling the gap! -Rob

The first and only thing that I can think of is that the keyless entry module in the trunk could be at fault. Try disconnecting it and see what happens.
