Happy post Turkey Day! Surprisingly the usual suspects in overindulgence did not over indulge! Sure there was plenty of food and then some but the usual family fireworks didn't spark yesterday. No big political debates or other.... Seemed more toned down than earlier years. Oddness. Either way it was joyous to share the comraderie again and catch up on the extended family goings on. I give thanks for all my T4T friends and wish they all...

Congratulations to you and Mrs. First Chair - it is so cool your boys will learn to ski before they can walk! As for age and skiing, I am such a slow learner that I probably will only be finally shredding the gnar in ohhh, 10 years or so I figure by then joint surgery will be so advanced that knee and hip replacements will be an outpatient procedure under local anaesthetic so I can keep going into my 70's and 80's.

My second son, Nicholas Alexander, was born on 11.21 at 2:12am (7lbs 6 ozs, 21"). Wife and baby are great. My first son (second chair), Andrew Christopher (14 months) is excited and already a great big brother. From the first time I saw it at age 16, skiing the Headwall was my life long goal (among many ski goals). Having checked that off a few times, my new goal is skiing the Headwall ...

No not Harry, silly hippies - I'm talking Mount. Gotta go to P-land for work on 12/10 and managed to finagle an extra day on 12/11. Ain't never been there in winter and don't know what to do solo. Meadows? Timberline? Ski bowl? Skin up Palmer before sunrise and see how high I can get? Of course game plan depends on conditions but I'd be much obliged for any advice from yous in the know.

Done just did the half Marathon (18.5 miles) this weekend and it was super fun untill coming down Jay my knee strated to freak out other than that the river running and downhills were great. Thanks RR for starting this thread and getting me into a whole new sport. If I ever recover I hope to train more and harder for other events.

Hello, after seeing some incredible pictures and reading some amazing trip reports about backcountry skiing in the Chic Chocs range in Quebec, I have been doing some research on finding a 5 to 7 day overnight guided trip up there. I just got off the phone with Art Mooney, owner of Mooney Mountain Guides, who runs a few trips up there every year from his home base in Central NH. Here is his ...

Please....make them as dirty and offensive as possible. Joke: Guy goes into the Doctors office for a check-up. Doc walks in and looks at his chart and then at the man and says "Im going to need you to stop masterbating." Man asks "Why Doc!? Whats wrong with me!?" Doc says ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~...
