Fin System?
Published (2008-11-27 18:09:00)
It's just as it says Freestyle But I think they are long gone. Think about spending a lil more and having a Future box put in. It would be an easy job and bring you up to very large fin selection and a standard box that can be found everywhere.

Quad fin talk - my story and...

Oh, it looks spread out because, well, I cheated! This fish is 6'10" x 22" x 2 5/8", specific use is for small days in the summer or big mush days, but got the quad in case I occasionally got a steep wave. Preety much my longboard for when I have to paddlewar with longboarders. So, yea, they look far apart because the tail really wide, my shaper compensated for it, it actually glides uber smooth and hold the...

Have to agree with KS on this one. The fin cluster looks a little spread out on there which is going to affect the ride by quite a bit. I will see if I can find the doc I have that has more info on the quad fin systems and placement and copy it in here for you.

E-Bomb or F-Bomb??
Published (2008-11-26 11:51:00)
Definitely go O'Neill or Body Glove Vapor. I have a Rip Curl E-Bomb 4/3 front zip AND a Body Glove Vapor 4/3 back zip, both were bought new this fall. The Body Glove Vapor is way better.

I was there last in sept, the car park attendants usually left at 6pm most of the week but hung around an hour longer cos there was a good swell running and everywhere else was blown out, people were waiting at the...

What height board should i get?? I'm close to 6'0" and only 135lbs. I currently have a 6'2" board which is a rocket fish but meant for smaller waves. I need a board to take on the medium-large waves we get over here during the winter any tips? I founda 6'4" Erie surfboard but i have a feeling it is too long.

I am sure it is a bad idea, and also sure I could get a heavy fine...... BUT HYPOTHETICALLY for conversation do you think this could be done....without going to federal pen. Objective: Rebuild a surf spot that was destroyed when a pier was removed. Plan: Biodegradable sand bags brought to location with a group of 10+ like minded surfers who casually fill these bags with ...

So when I picked up my new quad fish last month I did not get the back fins, FCS did not give them to my shaper by mistake. I used some I had lying around and have been surfing it no problem, the board glides like a longboard and is uber fun like a bigger shortboard, the way a fish should. Well, yesterday I picked up the GX and a pair of G1000 fins for my center fins. When I got home to ...

Im trying to replace the center fin of an older shortboard of mine but I cant figure out what type of system it is. The fin slides in and out without the use of screws. Below are pictures of the box along with the old fin. Thanks for your help!

I figure it's going to be delicate and precise. If it goes wrong, no big deal it's worth the gamble. The blanks are 1/10 the price of a new board and the fiber wrap and epoxy isn't costing me anything.

Hey guys, since I always surfed in Brazil, I had my forecast websites that worked perfectly for me. Now that I'm moving to SoCal, I wanted to know what are the best sites to see surf forecasts. where do you guys check your swells?

To the film maker: it is clear your heart is in this matter. It is also clear there are some real and tragic problems. This doesn't detract from your efforts, but I thought I'd share. Hey Guys, I'm gonna buy a wettie next week... will be surfing in SoCal with it. I really wanna buy a good one, since I'm used with warm waters, and not wearing a wettie... so it has to be flexible. I'm not sure if I should save a few bucks and get an E-bomb, or if I should spend a few more and get an F-bomb. does anyone know if the price difference is worth it?? or should I ...
