Have you seen an
orthopedic surgeon? Have you had an MRI? Have you had formal physical therapy? All very important questions.

Thanks for
the good cheer. I can't run yet and movie theaters are tough but it gets better everyday. WTF? My eyes were opened on how so much is connected to that one spot.

Well I went ahead and got the disposable acuvues--they don't give me perfect vision, but it's
better than nothing. In any case, if for some reason the contacts don't work out in the surf, there's always that pair of prescription swim googgles in my bag...

Quote: Had both eyes corrected last Friday and now 20x30 in one and 20x20 in the other. Stoked! Doc says to stay out of
saltwater for two weeks. Can do. Anyone have any experiences re-entering the surf post op? You'll also want to avoid splashing your eyes with acid. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned.

I was on decongestant allergy meds for years prior to my sinus surgery. NO
long term effects I can see or feel. Might want to see an ENT about those ears. I get the same problem despite plugs or whatever. Water takes a long time to exit my ears. I do the headshake the side to side, and some times it just comes back into sinus and out the nose. And swimmers ear drops do not help....

Hey Surfflexx, thanks very much for your response! I have been doing as you said regarding the straight leg leg-lifts. I do two sets of 100 repititions every other day. Do you think that ideally I should be doing this many reps, or should I get some
ankle weights and do less reps to focus on strengthening?! I also read that weak inner thigh muscles can also be a cause of ...

The viral and bacterial infections are bad enough. The street run-off chemicals (oils, freon, radiator flushes, etc.) that have been waiting to wash into your line-up since last years rain can't be resolved with medications. Around river mouths, pipes, etc., wait 3 days, surf it up
at high tide rather than low tide when the sh!t is sucking out to sea.

Hope it isn't a floater. I started with them about 15 years ago and they
don't go away.

Sounds like me. 'Cept I have a brain injury. It's (I think) part of
short term memory loss. Give your brain a workout on a regular basis. Do that card flipping memory game, or have one list of unrelated words... and then a second, longer list that includes only some of the first words. Study the first list for a minute and then look at the second list and try to pick out which words were...
