Fall.. It takes alot more knowledge about local condtions, bait, structure, tides, weather etc. to score consistently. For me, this is half the fun.. putting together all of the pieces of the puzzle. Spring.. all ya gotta do is find the bunker pods.. absolutely no intrigue or skill involved in that. Bunker makes everyone a bass fisherman

Had weird dream last night, that there were folks setting up oil production facilities right here in my backyard of Absecon, NJ. THis got me to wondering, (since i have discovered thru experience dreams sometimes predict the future), if there even is any oil in NJ? Seems to still be too warm but was just wondering if anyone is seeing bass in the surf at any of the south jersey shore points? I wish I didn't live 2 hours away or else I'd find out for my self!

Im going to be picking up a surf bag over the winter. Currently, Im using a regular fishing tackle bag. Its too big and bulky and I want to downsize. For the guys using a surf bag, what are you carrying with you for use as measuring tape??? Thanks

Had 16 total fish 11/23 trolling 19-34 feet of water off of IBSP/SSH. 1 keeper at 28 inches. All fish were taken on green tube umbrella rigs trolled with 16 oz inline lead on the bottom. 1 short striper and 1 6lb blue on diamond jigs, 1 foulhooked 12 lb blue on an umbrella . Great day on the water, cold but ocean was calm.

Quick question.. Why is it that the water temp for Atlantic City is always a couple of degrees colder then up here? I would think that it would be a little warmer because its further south but apparently not. I have also noticed that the AC water temp is always very similar to Montauk..... please elaborate
