Fall.. It takes alot more knowledge about local condtions, bait, structure, tides, weather etc. to score consistently. For me, this is half the fun.. putting together all of the pieces of the puzzle. Spring.. all ya gotta do is find the bunker pods.. absolutely no intrigue or skill involved in that. Bunker makes everyone a bass fisherman

Had weird dream last night, that there were folks setting up oil production facilities right here in my backyard of Absecon, NJ. THis got me to wondering, (since i have discovered thru experience dreams sometimes predict the future), if there even is any oil in NJ? I looked up a mineral and natural resources map and it appears NJ is devoid of oil , in all but the western parts of Gloucester ...

So I was wondering what the folks on the board here think is your favorite time of year to fish. This is my first ever poll. Select season in the poll and you can elect to state why in the comments. Some comments that would make this poll more interesting in the comments... Do you usually fish day or night? Do you usually fish bait or plugs?

I am curious. How come it's an effort to find the actual fishing reports/results under the weekly reports section? It appears to be mostly gabbing, comments and other irrelevant blabbering that would seam to belong in a PM, email or other topic entirely. I am on my way to Manasquan for the holiday and wanted to quickly and efficiently gather some info concerning the most current and recent ...

Had 16 total fish 11/23 trolling 19-34 feet of water off of IBSP/SSH. 1 keeper at 28 inches. All fish were taken on green tube umbrella rigs trolled with 16 oz inline lead on the bottom. 1 short striper and 1 6lb blue on diamond jigs, 1 foulhooked 12 lb blue on an umbrella . Great day on the water, cold but ocean was calm.

Quick question.. Why is it that the water temp for Atlantic City is always a couple of degrees colder then up here? I would think that it would be a little warmer because its further south but apparently not. I have also noticed that the AC water temp is always very similar to Montauk..... please elaborate
