Subtlties speak louder than anything else in the spraypainting world... wrapthe scale material around the plug and clip it tight using clothespins or binder clips or something else akin to those...hold the pluga good 12 to 14 inches away and just sweep the paint lightky over the plug - use 2 coats if you please, but you'll be surprised how pronounced the scales are, especially after the final clear coat goes on...

Haven't had much time in the last couple of months to do any plug stuff since work has been so busy. But with the holiday break I had some time to do some stuff. These have been waiting months for paint so I primed some up for painting this week. I also found some nice eye's I'm gonna give a try. I showed how the eye's look with and without hand paint. Can't beat them for $0.20 a pair. All plugs ...

I did a search for this and didnt find it, im a bit embarresed by asking this question becasue i have a feel the answer is going to be something very simple. I tie all sorts of teasers and have all the bucktails i will likely ever need. Its very easy to tie a teaser with a small hook. I get a good pinch of hair, tie it off with some thread cut the hair, then stick the hook thru the thread...

I'll be in the OR finally getting my lower back fixed. 20 years since the last lumbar surgery and 20 years suffering due to an over zealous physical therapist who re-ruptured the discs... No surgeon would consider touching the area until now and I'm so looking forward to having the operation behind me. I've not been in my shop to make anything in many months with the exception of a few trim...

For awhile every one got onto the "Through wire" plugs were the only way to go. That screw eyes would fail if put up to the pressures of striper and blue fishing. My thoughts on the subject were always each has its place. Guys like Gary 2 and Guzz were firm believers in screw eyes. I had total confidence in the screw eyed plugs that both Gary and Guzz had made me. Yet I had new guys and many ...

Please keep Vince in your thoughts and prayers, as he deals with this Diverticulitous. I went to see him yesterday, and he is hanging in there. He made some custom lures to order for Jacob Egolf Benefit, and insisted I go to his house get them and mail them out to the lucky winners.... Of course I granted this request.
