Excellent advice! I've only been fishing a little over a year and a half so I understand where your coming from. The dudes at causeway are really cool and are good to their customers, keep going in there as mentioned. Also as its already been said sticking to one or two areas is the best thing you can do. I will say that I favor FI inlet over jones, but if Jones is closer stay there. Don't chase reports (or make them ), its better to...

I agree air down with those behemoth beach buggies. But honestly Martin the big bumps in the sand that cause our bouncy rides are due to the campers. They are extremely heavy and if you have ever driven behind them you can see them place the nice ruts in the beach as they continue to bounce up and down sinking into the sand on each bounce. That said I have no problem with the ...

I see that you're trying to avoid using a snap. Don't. The notion that a fish is going to close down on your snap and open it up is, I strongly believe, a very very long shot. Just use a palomar knot and a snap.

and hiding locations, OBX? absolutely childish, I fish where i fish, and have no problems sharing with others good days, and/or bad days, ok so more bad days than anything. OMG caught a 35" at the jetty at demo point!!! yea a spot that just about every one knows about already, this attitude of hiding your spots or better yet, getting on others case for sharing theirs is more of a detriment...

There has to be some sort of quota? I can't even comprehend any of this. There seems to be all these rules and regulations that are disregarded. From regular fisherman keeping every single thing they catch even shorts. To netters setting up miles of netting and roundining up thousands of fish. There is never anytype of officials around monitoring this activity to even make a determination.
