No uh, probably shift shaft seal. dont know if its common on our bikes but i had other bikes that they would leak on. clean all that dirt and greasy muck off with brake cleen and you should be able to see a seal, then ride it and see if leaks from it. very small silver shavings or shiny sparkles in the oil would be kinda normal, keep in mind im thinking very small particles.... now if they are gold sparkles, thats not good!

Swifty, have you done a programer? If not, are you worried about it running too lean? I will do a K+N filter as well so my research says yes to re-mapping. Any thoughts?

i have a question too. not to thread jack! but mine also has just over 2k miles and i just changed the oil and filter and noticed in the old oil there is a few very small silver shavings... is this something to worry about?? it seems to run fine. i just happened to notice it when i was pouring my old oil in a jug and the very last bit of oil in my pan had the small silver shavings in it. and "no ...

If you put a slip-on on, you will lose the exup. Once you remove the stock exhaust, there will still be the servo that controls the exup valve. If you leave the servo in, you do not need the delte module. If you take the servo out, you will need the delete module. The delete module makes the computer think the servo is still there and it prevents any lights from coming on.
I think they...

nice job and looks beeeeeefy!! had a question though, even though you backed the bike up to the wall and the tire touched first, does that bar have to bend that much upwards? couldnt it just kinda come straight out the back following the the fender? im new to this stunt scene hence the simple question....

Yeah, its not hard to get rid of the chicken strips, I was also kinda disapointed there. As far as your clearance, it may have been lowered. Is that a yamalink beneath the shock? Not sure as I don't have one, but I don't remember seeing that on mine. Also the rear spring is pretty weak if you weigh anything over maybe 180. Looks pretty clean, seems like a steal.

Rubber hoses are the poor man's abs. Your avatar is very appropriate for the author of this thread. Good to hear, I have been considering steel lines, but for improved feedback, I am happy with the stopping power.
How's the feedback and feel? I assume more consistent than the rubber.

I def recommend 1 1/8 inch fat type bars. The most universal bend in my opinion is the CR High. It's not super high and not superlow, just right. It's like the universal of handlebars. I always buy them for all my new bikes.
Tusk makes one called the CHUB which is $40, a real steal! And Turner makes anotherone for $55 which has more color options and almost as much of a steal! I have both....

Anyone have any recommendations for tires that I can use to rip around on the street and do the odd trip onto trails with? I am a returning sumo rider coming off a Ducati liter bike. I won't be doing stunts, but still want good on road leaning ability but without dying if I hit the dirt for an afternoon. The tires will be going on a lightly modified X so size matters... Thanks for any advice.
