CRF450 Step seat?
Published (2009-12-21 18:05:59)
J-seekz I am disappointed no pics of the socks? if you are building that seat back up you might be better off finding a used seat then recover it. if you add Material you will have to put a new cover on as your old one will be 2 small. Didn't know if you had looked for a used tall seat or not.

Published (2009-12-27 05:37:23)
i know that this is an old thread but after reading it you lot (Especialy manu)have convinced me that this is a good idea how to spend a few hard earned $$ i have come across a pair of tripples of an 03 crf cheap. can any one tell me is it possible to just get a bearing that will fit the crf stem and fit the xr headset? i see that the bottom is the same but the top is smaller and the stem should be pressed out and swapped. just curious if its...

Changing the XR650R forks to...

Look above for the bearings http://www.evolutionsuspension.com/parts/ If you want to use the XR axle ,you have to make some custom wheel bushings to fit it in the CRF forks. If you want to keep the bigger ,more solid CRF axle, you can adapt the XR hub to accept the bigger bearings for the CRF axle . I did this to my Talon XR hub .Or go for a complete CRF hub/wheel... You need a different brake disk than ,the XR unit don't fit Cut the...

I have found it much easier to swap whole front units. Get the forks w/the trees, bearings (and races), axle and front wheel assy. Usually the part that is the most tricky, is whether the CR stem bearings match up w/the XR's races. It's Honda parts taking the place of Honda parts, so your chances are better than 50/50. Are the CR and the XR forks the same diameter????? If so, you just ...
