Thanks for looking out. I would rather find a car with head gasket issues. I fear water damaged cars the most. When corrosion settles in the electrical connectors, the gremlins will be crawling out of the wood work.

Yes I have ran into that with insurance flood jobs. May be worth going over and looking though. Depends on how long the water sat in the car...Pull the carpet back on the driverside and pull some connectors apart...If they are clean you know it was just the engine injested....There are different levels of flood damage...
