Zucker reports can be a great tool which allows you to pull data from the database. However, this does require knowledge of how the tables in the database relate to one another, and it does require that you know SQL to create the queries. So as far as the report creation, it is not really a tool for end users. Once the administrator sets up the reports, the end users can easily run the reports.

Hi, I am currently playing about with the latest free version, as I would like to see what it can do before I go for the full version. I would like to use this for our work, and we currently use Google Apps for Domains as our email but use Outlook as the application to receive/send. I have managed to get the email to work i.e. see my inbox and sent plus receive and send emails...but : 1. How to I see the other folders / labels I have created...

It is not easy but definitely possible. I would suggest changing the way the description is displayed in EditView to use the TinyMCE html editor to display the field so you can use WYSIWYG editing on it. Unzip the attached file in your sugar root. It creates a sugar field type TinyMCE using the TinyMCE editor that already ships with SugarCRM. Hello! Thanks Markku for response. As I understand it is about ONE installation. From my side it is not a must. Because people from one channel have to see ONLY accounts from the other channel, without activities and other related info. Any other ideas? Regards, Greg

Change default value in Studio

I need to change the default value to one of my fields. so I go to Studio, select module, select field. And I see Field Editor with my field properties. But I can't change these properties.These properties are disabled for some reason. Why?? I know that I can change default value through vardefs $dictionary[ ...], but I need it to be changeable without editing php files.

Zucker can be tricky ... but in combination with iReport it's an excellent tool. However, it is not a user tool for complex reports. Simple reports yes if you set up the parameters but for cross module reporting you'll need iReport and it's full blown BI.

Nope .... don't think this is achievable without a LOT of effort ... why don't you just use Teams in Pro to segment the data? Oh ... wait a minute ... could it be that it's proprietary licensed software and you'd have to pay an extra wodge for additional seats?

what operating system, webserver, php & mysql versions are you using? you can revert back to the original by using the History button in Studio ... did you do a bit ... save ... test or did you do everything ...save... test? BTW ... Studio is unpredictable at the best of times

You need to purchase a valid signed certificate from a Certification Authority such as Verisig, rapidssl etc. This is not a sugarcrm or xamp issue, it is true for ALL ssl enabled websites. M

Hi, I am facing a strange problem on my SugarCRM Pro v.5.2f. Tags created in the Knowledge Base keeps disappearing and reappearing randomly when I load the Browse page or when I want to select a Tag for an article. If you goto accounts>activities>create task then the task is automatically linked to the account. When you look at a task in detail view, what do you see in the Accounts and Contacts fields?
