Assuming that your Euro-spec vehicle functions like our USDM: If he cleared the codes, that would mean that your ECU was also "reset." On a vehicle with OEM/factory ECU programming, that means that your IAM - your dynamic advance - will be back at the default half-value. Although you'll likely still achieve target boost, you won't get as much timing advance as you would, when the car's truly "healthy...

Dude... 64k on an 01? Awesome! HG issues happen, and why take it to the dealer? At least in my area any dealer work = rip off. Take it a reputable and knowledgeable mechanic, someone you have experience with and they will probably do the job for less. If you have the wheels just jack up each wheel and replace with summer. If you are absolutely sure it is not there with the summer wheels then go back to the shop. Also, try re-installing each winter rim. Do your winter rims have a centering ring? Make sure each lug nut is centered. You hand tighten the nut for each position before getting a torgue wrench. Torque to 70 to 80 lb feet.

David,
Might be worth checking the fuse listings in your owner's manual.
For example, my 09's manual includes the following info: Fuse #6 in my the passenger compartment fuse panel is for (at least) two circuits:
(a) remote control rear view mirrors, and (b) the seat heater relay.
There's a separate fuse (#17) for the seat heaters.
The fuse for the rear window defogger and the ...

Try disconnecting the battery overnight and see how it is afterward. I've seen weird issues pop up after getting a jump.

I see it's your first post. Welcome. Tip: in the future, try to put something more specific in your post title. This greatly helps in searches others may do in the future that have the same problem.
I've owned a couple Subarus. The all aluminum engine can use a bit of oil compared to regular cast iron engines as the tolerances can be a bit looser. So I wouldn't say you've necessarily got a ...

+1 on hora's advice, I was amazed at how dirty mine was after less than 2 years. I'd say it did improve air flow in all positions especially the footwell setting, I might consider taking and leaving it out next time. You do need to take apart the glove compartment to access the filter.
If you are going to take the panels off, please be careful, some of the auto stores sell trim removal ...

first place I would look would be normal maintenance items plugs, wires,
air filter.... the next place would be the O2 sensor. As they fail they can
cut into your fuel mileage by 20-30% before throwing a code.

Yaah! Really wish I had my car because I have to go to a funeral @ 6pm (college classmate passed away suddenly three nights ago) and I hate having to take my girl's car and trapping her without one.

Yeah I think Forman Performance should fit that need nicely.

Are the wiper arms covered under warranty? My drivers side arm stopped
moving, but the passenger side continues to work. I took it to the
dealership this morning and they say it isn't. It did snow this past
weekend, and it appears that is what they are using as the reasoning for it
not being covered. Or maybe it is covered and the prices that I am paying
are warranty work prices.

Over the summer my '07 FSXT & my son's '03X were serviced at my trusted dealership. They changed the brake fluid in the '03 (27K miles), but not on my '07 (21K miles). I suspect it has to do more with the age of the brake fluid, than the miles on the vehicle. They did a complete pressure flush with Valvoline synthetic brake fluid. The total cost was a bit over $111, with the brake fluid ...

There nothing wrong with Subaru filters & many here on the forum swear by them. I prefer WIX or NAPA Gold filters, which are made by WIX.
On my son's '03X we use a WIX 51334 or NAPA Gold 1334. I'd use this filter on my '07 FSXT, but it's too wide, so I have to use the "tiny" WIX 51365 or NAPA Gold 1365.

I really wanted to get an 09...and I really don't want to start the hunt again.
