I do think that knee high boots elongate your legs, thus fore making you seem taller. I love boots by Tara Subkoff and Loeffler Randall. Those are my two favorite designers for boots at the moment. I like my boots knee high or calf length, slouchy of course, I'm not really a big fan of anything structured. Leather or suede is good enough...

I really enjoy The Fashion Book. It is very short histories of all of the important designers, models, icons, etc from fashions past. The only problem is the book is slightly outdated and doesn't have anything past early Millenium. I do recommend that book though....
