whats needed for a 600rr to run?
Published (2009-12-04 10:08:00)
I didn't read all of the posts so I'm not sure if anyone posted this but. If you dont have the ignition, you will need a 2.2k ohm resistor. Jumper the clutch safety, kickstand safety, Bank angle sensor. You can bypass the kill switch and run your own start momentary. I'm pretty bored in Ohio and will be here tilll the 19th. PM me and I'll give ya my number if you need anymore help.

Honda is good about keeping things easy for the typical rider, so there are gonna be a lot of things that will keep the ecu from allowing the engine to crank. ("Safety Features") Off the top of my head: 1. BAS 2. Headlight switch 3. run switch 4. Kickstand switch 5. clutch switch Grab a Service manual and start one ...

Test the volts at the batt at 4500- 5000 RPM. If its not damn close to 14.5 replace the rectifier. Its Probly smoked. Only other option is the stator but they dont burn often. Or just do like I do w my backup bike and dumpstart it everytime. I LOVE running down the street next to my bike during rush hour. The looks from the 9-5ers is priceless.
