I've had a completely opposite experience: people wo have gotten accepted prior to me rubbing it in and fronting their acceptances right and left, making the rest of us feel bad. It had nothing to do with being jelaous, it was more about them being obnoxious and that's why I steered away from some after their acceptances. OP: have you thought maybe you are doing something subconsciously without even realizing that may be taken the...

I thought it would be school reputation, but as I push forward, I'm changing my argument that quality of rotations/clinical experience will be the determining factor. This does indirectly go along with "school quality" as schools open longer tend to have more impressive rotation sites vs. newer schools (exceptions do exist). So yeah, it's a red herring, it'll be clinical that will decide as the standardize d...

Pharmacy Job Prospect in Canada?
SDN Members don't see this ad.
Does anyone know the job prospect in Canada?
From what I've seen, in US pharmacy schools are opening up uncontrollably, causing saturation in the field, thus lower wages, etc etc.
Is it going to be about the same in...

From what I've heard, Western doesn't have rolling admissions.
Western has a pretty lengthy secondary, and the 5 page document that you are talking about is probably the "Secondary Application for Admission."
Another thing you need to include in your application is the "Personal Questionaire Form" and that is a 4 page document full of short essay questions, which the previous posts were ...

Hi yall, I haven't posted awhile, but after going through my P1 year, and now in my P2 year. DON'T GO TO USN. I use to be a big fan of my school, but as the year goes on, the more I realize that USN is a diploma mill that really only cares that it gets its money. I wish I went somewhere else. Somewhere that I feel that I'm actually getting the education that I deserve with the money that I've ...

I had professors that I felt were *easy*, because they made the subject so accessible and understandable, yet I learned a lot from both classes. Just because a professor is easy doesn't mean you don't learn.
However, you NEED anatomy in pharmacy school, so you NEED to know it. If the professor really doesn't teach I wouldn't risk it.

I got my PharmCas submitted in early September. Took my PCAT in August.
I have a 3.7 GPA and composite PCAT was 84%.
I have only gotten an email from UNC saying everything is complete and that they were going to start contacting people for interviews Nov-Feb.

No, you do not currently have a chance. Your GPA is on the low end of average and your PCAT scores are abysmal. To have a chance you need to retake the PCAT and score in the 70's, if not higher. Right now I wouldn't even bother applying.
