wow this is amazing.
Thank you so much for putting in your time for the benefit of others.
Just 1 question though. Do you use GPA with or without to calculate the score?

unless ur a biochem/mcb concentration, i would HIGHLY recommend against M114L (unless u've already taken it.) Apart from this, Molecular Lab - M116L or Micro Lab - M118L are great options. If you want sort of an "easy" or "fun" lab i suggest taking field freshwater ecology with Bowler - E179L or something. gluck

A great DAT score will make you stick out. Volunteering, shadowing, etc will help as well.

For any school that does not use a pass/fail system, just be in the top 10% and you'll specialize.

1. least expensive school
2. school that you feel fits you most
3. consider dental school relevancy only if DS states they would give preference to their own graduates

I also have 2 friends that have just switched to dentistry.
They switched in May, shadowed in June, took DAT in July and applied. They got 5 and 6 interviews each and I was kind of upset about this..
Their numbers are fine. Good GPA & DAT. They have likable personalities and I'm sure they did just fine with interviews..therefore I am guessing they will get accepted Dec 1.
Thing that bothers ...

Depends on the school. They could send several less than 50 or a few over 50.

If you keep raising your gpa and end up with around a 3.2 or higher and your science gpa is similar and you score a 20+ on the DAT, I would say your chances of getting accepted are pretty good. Keep all sections of the DAT high though cuz if you screw up one section, that could ruin you. If you really want to be a dentist, you will go outside of California if you have to. USC is definitely a ...
