I don't want pharmacist prescribing nor do I want to prescribe. I want the physicians to diagnose and prescribe. Except do so within the parameters set forth by the hospital committees.. ie, the Formulary and prescribing guidelines. Not because a pretty drug rep brought lunch. How hard is that?

Most pharmacists don't want to prescribe. That being said, physicians have lost a lot of their political clout. The New York Times is constantly writing stories about physicians and their association with the drug companies. Here's the lastest one: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/22/he...r=1&ref=health

To the more experienced pharmacy students, what type of questions have you seen more often? Negative questions - You are given a question with 5 choices, 4 of them are true and one of them is false. Positive questions - Given a question with 5 choices, 4 of them are false and one of them is true.

Try: In a nursing home, they're celebrities. You actually get paid back for all the money you spent on them growing up, even though it's drug money. You have no problem accepting drug money from them. If you're not happy with the service, you can ground them. You pay for generic and they slip you brand name.

Once a central center...CPO...is set up 1 pharmaicst in a call center can work on 10 pharmacies. Rather than 3 pharmacists who are physically in the pharmacy...the cpo also does filling...they are putting everyone on autofills so that they fill most of the refils and they get shipped to the pharmacy the next day for pick up...less scripts filled....less jobs....I work at wags and we are full in ...
