I have a bunch of cash money at Amazon and am having trouble deciding between games. If you could get 2-3 of the following, what would you get? Assassin's Creed II Dagron Age: Origins Borderlands FIFA '10 DJ Hero Beatles: Rock Band The Saboteur * Preorder Mass Effect 2 * Preorder On the one hand, I'm tempted to just get DJ Hero and maybe one other game... but I really want to get all of the games listed. It's tempting to...

those games are generally in totally different genres, so it's hard to say. if you're into sports games, fifa 10 is by far the best soccer game evar. akin to nhl 09 for hockey. assassins creed is a meh, but worth a weekend rental.

So I'm going to be playing this for a good long time this evening...if anybody's interested, throw me an invite. I make excellent cannon fodder.

Hrm. I mean "simple" in the sense of side-scrolling terrain game. Like simple graphics. The concept of lava and water presented in that video look cool, and add something new to what would otherwise be a relatively simple side-scrolling cave crawl/fly. Looks sweet.

On another note, it looks like consoles are starting to implement more and more social applications. That's going to be huge. Facebook and Twitter need to merge seamlessly into these consoles. Quick enough to not be left behind but slow enough to not scare the shit out of people. I'm not dating that guy! He played 50 hours of Madden this week! 50 FUCKING HOURS!

I'm getting more and more convinced that Condottiere was a great use of $25. Awesome game, really fun, pretty quick to teach and play, and scales really well from 2 to 6 players, though the strategy does change drastically.

no radar, no killcams, long spawn times, friendly fire. Mainly, it slows the pace of the game down a lot. Gives you a little more of a chance of using tactics and sniping rather than just running around guns blazing the entire time. also makes the use of air support trickier. You don't want to just drop it anywhere and kill your entire team in the process.

The more I hear about it, the less I'm interested. I'm probably not their target audience, though, as I only played through MGS2 and perhaps the first hour of MGS3. Something about the series just doesn't really do it for me.
