wmwifirouter is pretty sweet (easiest way to get internet to my mac); however, the battery is drained like none other... if it's not plugged into the wall... it won't maintain a charge. The usage > USB charge speed

My two cents: don't forget rear projection as an option -- you can get a rather large set for a great price, so long as you can stand to have a box that's some 15" deep, rather than 4" or so. Also, if they don't have one already, consider also getting them a new DVD player that can up-convert standard DVDs -- they probably won't want to update their entire catalog w/blu-ray, so you may as well ...
