from John Mace Quote: We're discussing what would happen in Randesia, where people are Objectivists. Understood. But a serious question just the same. It seems that followers of Rand and libertarians are never happier than when they can hold forth and discuss all the various details of their philosophy, idealogy and beliefs. They seem to scorn the nuts and bolts actual real life political mechanics of building upon ideology and turning it...

You can have the arrest dismissed but it still costs 1 thousand dollars to get your car back. I want nothing to do with law enforcement. If they saw a wad of money they could take it. All they have to do is declare it illegal and you have to expensively fight to get it back.

There is no such person who could espouse such an opinion and yet not be racist. You're asking for the opinions of an imaginary person.

Thanks for the write-up. The "trances" you speak of sound like the classic mystical experience. You might find this to be relevant:
Dancing With The Gods

I'm just curious how you think you can get a reasoned debate when you use such slanted and explosive language as that in your OP. You seem to be unaware that there are two sides to this debate, and that far from being the simple punch bunnies and passively oppressed (under the jackboots of those evil Israeli's of course) folks, the Palestinians have been active participants in the current fucked...

I'm confused. How does a first class passenger have a larger carbon footprint than the mooks back in steerage? The extra energy to heat the hot towels?
Unless you're willing to argue that the airlines are going to trash the first class section and put more dense seating up front, you could equally well argue that first class passengers are doing a public service by filling (expensive) ...

You don't try to stop religion now, but what if they were sacrificing babies on their altars? It's just a matter of abhorrence.
The other thing with gay marriage is that it "lessens" straight marriage. It's like giving everyone a trophy. "Marriage" is about love and commitment, intending to start a family and raise children. Gay people just buttfuck one another and here people are telling ...

1) Both sides were Americans.
2) Lots of people died. It was a massively fatal war because of rifled guns and dated strategies.
3) The generals on the Northern side were pretty ineffectual until Grant. The South should have lost by all measures, but Lee was impressive and the North was terrible. It's hard to root for the guy who sucked.

Seriously?? What a question! Of COURSE they look down on non-Christians. Not a one of them is any better in any way. If they find themselves 'sinning', that's no big deal because their Big Invisible Friend in the Sky is going to forgive anything. The non-Christians who are headed to the hot place are unfortunates who just don't see the light; they aren't part of the Cult and are to be pitied...

From a rational standpoint, I'm against the death penalty- after all, if you screw up and have the wrong guy in the gallows, there are no take-backs. Better to let a hundred murderers live than to kill one innocent man.
However, from an emotional standpoint, I say let the guy (metaphorically) hang. The idea of this guy appealing his execution is particularly galling, considering how many ...
