While Mythbusters is aimed first at entertainment, if you saw the episode in question you would see that they state exactly what you did. They did confirm getting a connection - by having Adam pee from within 6 inches of the fence. Exactly for the reason you state - the flow breaks up into drops much farther than that. What they demonstrated was the ability to complete a circuit, not that it would put any charge through the heart.

The Scots-Irish of western Pennsylvania were already regarded as nearly subhuman by the period of the Revolution. But plain old Scots have always been respectable in the US, and by the turn of the 20th century, the Irish were respectable, too, so long as they were Protestant. In general, in both the US and the UK, racists regard Celts and Anglo-Saxons as nearly the same thing by "blood". For example, the British Israelite...

Dear Sir, A very good point by Irishman - only I was not talking about the Grail, but another object to which it was linked. The object in question fits exactly the description I gave. That is, get rid of centuries of myth accumalation, and the original purpose becomes clear. The fun part of my researches came about because I had no idea to where they were leading. As I mentioned earlier, at one point I suddenly believed I had the answer and...

I am fascinated, and do intend to read this, even if the conclusions may not actually be particularly graily... Now I need to get a gazetteer of British Cathedrals and go visiting... Cyprus knee sounds very painful.

Thanks for those recommendations.
I liked the comment in Cecil's column about a smart kid back then being considered a likely prospect for surveying. George Washington made a name for himself as a capable surveyor before going into Virginia politics.

We installed an electric line on a fence to keep my dog from climbing out. I did test run what that felt like - not pleasant.
I don't think there was ever a time I would have thought, "Wow, that hurt, let's see what happens if I pee on it." I didn't need someone to tell me not to - I would have had to have had someone hold me down to make me do it.

Proof: An airplane at the end of a runway as it's about to take off,
regardless of whether the airplane is propeller driven, or has engines
mounted on it's wings, is at full throttle/full thrust. At the beginning of
the runway, this full throttle/thrust is not sufficient to pull enough air

You misspelled "chronicles" in your book title? You need a new editor.

Can you clarify two things:
(1) Which of Cecil's many columns are you referring to?
(2) When you say "there have been no actually documented claims in the past 50,000 years," what would the claims have been about? Evolution? Descent from monkeys?
