Well your are right, I have learn to stop this activity but  I learned a few more things. Dan - I know the stuff is small. I used to work for JDS Fitel before it merged with Uniphase corp.  I know the sector pretty well. The photodiode doesn't filter.  Its purely an O/E converter.
