Re: My mother died There was a photo and obituary in the local paper today. Unfortunately the journalist got one date wrong by ten years. It doesn't make me feel happy to think that it was done carelessly. __________________ When you start a new thread, please give a few seconds' thought to making the subject line specific and explicit. Sorry for the personal intrusion, but I reckoned that there were a number of people I know through the boards and who would want to know, and that this was the only way to reach them all.

If everything goes well, the Bengals are looking at a .500 season.
The defense continues to improve, but without a dominant offensive line they'll be unable to run the ball against the power D's of the division: Pitt and Baltimore.

Our economy has its own problems, and school budgets are suffering. It's not impossible to find work, but I would have to say line the job up before emigrating rather than move in the hopes of finding one. Unfortunately, English is a terrible field to want to teach in - too much competition. Math and the sciences would offer better job prospects. Pessimistic as I may sound, I do wish you luck.

Oh, Shog, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's never easy to lose a pet, and to have it happen under those conditions ... that's horrible.
She looks like she was a beautiful animal. How long had you had her? What was she like? (If you don't mind my asking, of course; if it's too soon, I understand.)

How many adventures does it take to change a lightbulb?
Six:
One to kill the orc
One to look for traps
One to heal the party
One to change the bulb
One to sing a song about their noble lightbulb changing quest.
One to complain that this adventure was more fun under the old rules system

The most succesfull colonies are the ones where the colonists are from the ' mother country' and the 'locals' don't exist or are in such low numbers that it doesn't matter (either because they were just naturally small in numbers or because massive genocide occured for various reasons, like disease or war). Australia and the US are great examples of this, though for the US we assimilated a ...

Two hydrogen atoms bumped into each other. The first asks "Why do you look so sad?"
The other responds "I lost an electron."
Concerned, the first asked "Are you sure?"
The other replied "I'm positive."

Mikhail Kalishnakov 90th b-day.
