I just bought a new Darkest Hour server from gameservers.com and when I try to join my server this message shows up, "An unknown steam error is preventing you from connecting to this server". I can join any other server in the game, only my server is the one that gives me this message. I would appreciate any info you guys can give me, here's everything I know that may narrow it down: Changed server name, changed MOTD,...

I've owned the game for about a year and it's always been almost dead. There were usually around 2 servers run by a clan at almost full capacity. Had tons of fun there. Nowadays it seems the only active server is a Russian one where players seem to mic spam whining and Russian insults. It's a shame. I love this game. And I don't care about the 2 mods. Finally a game about the Eastern Front. Why the hell would I care about a...

If you are from Europe you will not have problem to find server with players. Can't speak for other continents...
There is no campaign and no co-op, just team vs team battles. But cooperation of players is welcomed and sometimes (when enemy team is skilled and well deployed) demanded.

Well yeah, I was thinking that the Tigers slow turret, which is horrible at ranges of 300 meters, is fine at 1200m because at long range like that, turret speed isnt important. The slightest turn of a turret covers a lot of ground that far away.
Granted the Panthers 75mm gun can penetrate a bit better than Tigers 88mm, even at long ranges...but the difference is slight.

yep i don`t expect it to be like dod or even tf2.
My only grip is trying to work out who is the enemy, from a distance.by the time i worked it out i`m dead lol.
Anyway it will prob take time to get used to as well.
