too little info displayed?

The code looks OK. It's possible the server where your project is hosted is lagging and will start reporting properly later. You should see a few hits from me. The log size is 500 - meaning it can hold up to 500 entries. Of those only 2 have been logged up to the point you were looking at your stats. Once the log is full (i.e. 500 hits have been logged), it starts rolling and the earliest entry is dropped in favor of the newest one, so...

Click on the wrench icon for your project, it's on the same line as the project name on the "My Projects" page, or on top of the left hand menu if you are on the Summary page for the project. When clicked, you will go to the "Installation and Configuration" page. There is several text links to various editing option, the first is Edit Settings - Update project settings (including IP address to exclude).

Search engine tracker not working
Published (2009-12-08 22:29:00)
Until I took the image off a few days ago, my links page contained the #7 image for "philadelphia eagles logo". Here's the screenshot of a stats page showing how many searches for this I had. It's not a huge deal, wanting to see the image search terms, since most of the images on my site are there just for fun. But I am curious. Thanks.

What is to explain? If you don't know the persons behind the Facebook and Twitter pages, or any other site where visitors come from to your site, it is just a guess how they find your site. And any guess is just as good as any other.
In the meaning of referrer sites, Facebook and Twitter is no different from any other site. They have posted the link to your site, probably because they like it ...

No matter what application you are using, the footer is always the best place. Then second best is anywhere between <body> and </body>. It should never go to the header part (above the <body> tag) and the counter is definitely not anything for a meta tag!

Hello, I've searched for this topic but can't find it. I'm sure it exists so please forgive the duplicate post.
Does anyone know where I can disable my own IP address from appearing in my StatCounter tracking? I've looked under all settings and profile sections and can't seem to find it anywhere.
Thanks!

Have read via search the previous forum questions about exit links not appearing. My code is now installed in the footer of a WP blog (self hosted), instead of via plugin and I have verified the existence of the var sc_click_stat=1; code line.
For test I have clicked the links on this page:

You got something nasty on your site.

You need to handle that at the server level.
If your server is Apache, the .htaccess file can be used to check the referrer and if it matches some pattern (i.e. the domain you don't want to get visitors from), then you have the option to serve them a 403 (forbidden) or redirect them else where or whatever.
Suppose there are 3 sites that you don't want to see as referrers: crappy-site1....
