Remember 24 ft.lbs for the intake bolts is too much. They need to be wrist calibrated. As far as the pump goes, you should be able to hear it. As for how loud it is, that's kind of subjective. Kurt

All of the V8 aero foxes ('87+) had 8.8" rears with TL. The late-model four-eyes had 7.5" rears IIRC.

Still trapping in 2nd? Definitely got to get that taken care of! I have a feeling there's a lot to be had once you get your drivetrain figured out. 108mph in 2nd gear is wack.

When was the last time you had to put money into it other then this month? $600 is not bad considering it paid off and you have no monthly payment.

I will start off by saying I know people have talked about placement and things on this subject in the past. I want to know the tech stuff about widebands. Also this is not for my car. As some of you have seen I'm doing some modding to my truck. I spoke to a guy that sells SCT tuners and does tunes on Dodges. He advised me to get a wideband ...

Okay, 1995 GT 5.0 - Stock intake manifold, I have installed my pbr Strikforce heads, and Emerson cam .496/.512 lift. Now the hell begins.... After install i couldnt get the timing set just right. i sent it to a Very reputable company called Dallas mustang. After an entire week of waiting for my beast to return, I go up there ...

Alright, StangNeters I write to you with hopes of elucidation! A friend of mine shot me a text the other day asking what year Mustangs began including LSD's--the differentials not the hallucinogens. I told him that I'm pretty sure Ford refers to this as Trac-Loc and that I'm not really sure of the answer. So I ask, LSDs are what ...

Now I have ANOTHER PROBLEM. A while back Ihad 3 PS pumps lock up. Turns out it was air in the system. Atleast thats what the guy that fixed it told me, and hes a pretty reliable guy. Well it just locked up again. I havent even touched anything on the steering system since I got it back. So what the hell would cause my PS ...

Hey all, So I finally found a free weekend to install my TFS StreetBurner upper/lower -which turned into a four day event after bad weather, a failing water pump, gas leak from a cut injector o-ring, replacing what felt like every d*** vacuum line under the hood, not having a lot of experience under the mustang hood, and helping my friend...

This is a pretty stupid question but I don't know the answer. What is the best way to clean up a coolant spill from a cement garage floor? I spilled some antifreeze when I installed a new water pump. I'm sure I'm not the only person dumb enough to try cleaning up antifreeze with floor-dry (cat litter). Actually, I've made that ...

Well the goal is 400 or more at the tires. Slowly but surely this motor is coming together. Its a royal pain in the ass modding two cars at once but here is whats so far... Shortblock: Heads: Next will be the Precision "race" standard volume oil pump, ARP oil pump studs, CHP hardened ...

Yup, no hood pins allowed this to happen yesterday @ 70-75MPH on the highway. Fortunately, I was the only one in the car and no other cars where around. I pulled over to the shoulder at a rolling stop. I have learned this happens more frequently than I care to read about. I plan to get estimates for the repairs. My questions to you fine ...

I recently found a mustang on craigslist for cheap. But it was about 500 miles away. The owner told me that it was not running and that it needed a fuel pump, and thats it. He sent me tons of pics of it and from the pics I thought that it looked pretty good. He said that it had been rearended but had been fixed. Well I agree to come ...

Personally I've preferred the Haynes manuals so far, but I've heard some people say they aren't as good as they used to be. What are other people using?
