I changed from JC to a new plan and got the $20 recurring credit to re-up for another 2 years. Do I qualify for the $70 service credit?

Did you activate with that plan? Either way, Sprint has determined that if they force you to change your plan, then you get the option of cancelling without an ETF. You can take it to court if you want but you wouldn't win.

Having the deal offered in writing does matter. Nothing is a guarantee but its 100x more helpful than having nothing. I've gotten tons of issues fixed by forwarding an Ecare email.
