So while we're on the topic, can we discuss how ATT advertises that it is the fastest 3G network, Verizon advertises that it is the largest 3G network, and Sprint is the most reliable and soon to be first 4G network? I ask because I thought Sprint/Verizon had the fastest 3G network and ATT was slow and small?..and I thought Verizon and Sprint were comparable with 3G networks..? Maybe I'm just horribly confused. i just want the facts...

Best Buy is better. The price you pay for the phone at BB usually gets made up with some bonus RewardZone points.
Sprint.com still charges taxes. Plus you have to wait 8-12 weeks for the rebate.

Do the PDA phones even support wireless backup? I have never seen a PDA phone that gave the option to use wireless backup(The one offered from Sprint).
The work around may be putting the old phone back on the account, using wireless backup to restore the contacts, and then going to a Sprint store and getting a phone book transfer to the new PDA device.
So ESN swap, do wireless backup...

The thing about the Any Mobile is that it leaves you with a bunch of extra minutes. Good. Now asking for a plan with less minutes from Sprint might just mean that they make one without Any Mobile included. VZ has Friends and Family. You must have a plan with at least 900 minutes for a single line or 1400 for family plan. So it doesnt look promissing if they follow VZ's plan model.

flashing your rom can indeed make it faster.it can also add features that have not been officially released for your device.a cooked rom can have all the hacks already incorporated into it so that you dont have to do it individualy.
i have a mogul that does not have a 6.5 rom offically released for it but there are plenty of roms homemade that include 6.5,also has plenty of programs that ...

#1 - Cost - I have priced plans and continue to do so just to stay in the loop even though I pretty much know that Sprint is going to pretty much be the best value in of the 4. Even without my corp discount, I would still have to say that in my current situation, no one would beat the price for what I get/need.
#2 - Service - In my 10+ years, I have no complaints of Sprint's network service...

Yeah, that's the way BB does it. They front the mail in rebate and get it themselves. If you have a plan that they will work with then it is by far the best way to go. You will get hit with an activation fee but that's worth it to not have to play the waiting game for a rebate.

I'm sure its possible; just have to take to Account Services (Retention) rather than 'regular' reps of eCare. I tried to contact them (sent an email to eCare, said send this to Account Services) asking for a similar thing (my contract also expires in May) with my reasoning being I'd go to a more expensive plan NOW if I can renew, making Sprint $40 more a month... no response. But others have had ...
