As the Red Wings progress through the season, every game is a learning tool for young defenseman Jonathan Ericsson. The Wings knew from what they saw briefly of Ericsson last season and in the playoffs that he was ready to help their squad. He showed himself reliable in his own end and capable of helping out offensively with his big shot. The transition to the NHL isn't an easy one, though, and Ericsson's biggest adjustment this...

I've very impressed. Ever since the trade happened, I liked the sounds of the deal because with Kessel we knew what we were getting compared to a pick who still has to prove themself in the NHL. In addition, Kessel was already at an NHL calibre versus a pick who still takes a 1-4 years to develop. It's great to see Kessel has more goals than any of the Bruins this season having played half as many games. I believe the Leafs will jump...

The Forum is on the top of my list. Back in 93, on a Sunday, while I was visiting family, I got off the subway and touched the doors to the Forum (it was closed) and it gave me chills. I remember it like it was yesterday. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind donning my HABS jersey and walking into any of the old original 6 arenas....people certainly need to know what a winner is all about right.....no, but just to understand the history in this...

I guess the title says it all. Brian Burke gave up quite a bit for him, and right now he has 8 goals and 3 assists in 12 games. So what are your thoughts? Is he part of the solution for the Leafs? It's far too early to tell who "won" this deal, and we won't know until at least 3-5 years from now, but people can still express their opinions on the deal and his play.

So, yeah, these are the games I love and dread (lol) the most every year. Being as these are my two favorite teams. Tough blow for the Oil loosing Hemsky for the year, they did play a pretty good game last night, but we know how that finished But no matter what these two teams always put on a show for the fans. Regardless of the outcome, this will be the game of the night.

As of right now...I'm happy with the deal. I might get angry though if the pick they gave up turns out to be one of the next greats. Kessel is a great player and he's getting better every year. He scored 36 goals in Boston last year and he only played 16 minutes a night. The Leafs are giving him more ice time and he's showing what he can do... without Savard. By the way, anyone who ...
