After giving this album a few spins it's mosdef cracking my top 10 of 09. What can I say besides another effort from Mr. Hazit. I love how theory is expanding topically and flexing his story telling muscles. On the minus side, I feel he was outshined by Toni Shift's beats a few times on this album, which is a major compliment to Mr. Shift & Theory's ear for beats. Ditto on the cohesiveness (and diversity) of the production. This was a very moving record. I really appreciated the honesty of the lyrics. Theory is baring himself like we have never seen. It is reminiscent to me of Enock in "Awethentic". My heart goes out to Theory. As soon as I told my wife about the content of the record, she adopted the "drop everything and pray" model. this album got me through some tough depressive times when it dropped.... i love the diversity of the record, in sampling and live instruments. I dropped it to my hypeman last year, and he thought it was a new release. I don't know what forces combined to make this gem, but I would love to bottle it.

Do we disagree on a lot of stuff or something?? I always thought we had similar tastes. This album is a blend of everything everyone on here likes, so PLEASE give this a chance. It's a little indie, a little rock, a little hardcore and a little boom-bap. So everyone is happy.

At first, i thought this album sounded too dated, and i didn't like it. Then it grew on me and now is one of my favorites! Total Classic!
