Yep they are expensive, but great. Surpose if the bloke is re-building a Radford, then the rubbers will propably be the cheapist item on the car

Changed the plug (thanks to Foss - got my extra speedometer from him) and changed the bulb. Now - everything works just as it should! Very happy. Ken

mine just popped through thte letter box - great article foss - I am just about to go out to the garage to finish mine, armed with a coffee and toblerone! Bought a roof skin from mini spares yesterday. Going to use chas and pete's panels to repair the guttering.

Andy yes no probs, remember they are f*cking expensive, 90 euro each + VAT 20%. But Foss and Tim can tell to you about manufacturing, very very nice.

re the change from `4volts to 13.5 volts. - The mini battery cable doesn't get much looking at, and mostly the terminals are crimped on each end . Over the years the copper cable oxidises and some voltage is lost at these crimped terminals. Its worth pulling them apart, cleaning the copper cable and then soldering the terminals back on with proper solder. Now the loss from my alternator output to the battery terminal is only about 0.1...

I was told that if my ammeter stopped working nothing else would as it's a straight though connector of some sort. But I know nowt about Mini electrickery
