On the tyllium thing... I was going to perhaps go with tyllium based fusion on the warships. Fusion engines are ridiculously expensive. Putting them in civilian ships makes as much sense as putting a nuclear reactor in them like in modern day- very manpower intensive, very expensive. Plus the fusion engines could be too large. Galactica dwarfed every ship in the RTF. Not even the container ships or Cloud 9 were as imposing as Galactica. Hell,...

You know most gosuld tech is meant to be used by proud medival warriors so I'm pretty sure the victorians will be fine so long as they can steal a sufficent stocplie of Staffs Zats and maybe a teltak or two. The stuffs supposed to be idiot proff so long as no one actually tries to tamper with its inner workings. Unless they're ancients other goauld or the Tauri. They can't exactly stop them. But they have the ability to track ships in hyper from normal space, so sneaking close to a Fed ship then opening a jump point on it unawares should be... difficult.

Hi, please let me know what you think.
I've had an idea for a BSG/SG crossover for a while and once my other stories are done, judging on the reception to this concept chapter and a few others I'll post in the coming weeks, I might do this as my next story.

However I set first contact around season 4/5 of Stargate. This is to give me some wide...
