I don't see why the announcers wrote Cal off so easily. One two-point conversion and Cal is back in it. Weird.

In the Top 16 this year there were only 4 three loss teams, in the top 12 there were 2, in the top 8 there were zero. 2 of the 3 loss teams in the top 16 were #s 15 and 16

Have you guys seen this yet? Perfect example of why stars mean nothing when you know how to evaluate talent. Austin Haywood has moved ahead of Demarco Cobbs as the #1 player in Oklahoma. Before we recruited him he was considered a 1 star player. Same goes with Ronnell Lewis, and a host of other players Bob goes after. http://oklahoma.rivals.com/viewrank....2306&Year=2010

This game gives a hint of how we should go after Stanford. Stanford could not cover the Cal receivers - not even close. Utah didn't have that much trouble covering even though they mostly stacked the line against the run. We need to pass and pass and pass some more. Then throw in a few delay running plays when they are gassed from pass rushing. We need Broyles to have a monster game with a good dose of Miller and DM out of the backfield.

Now, here is how the rest of the country will view it.
Win big -- Stanford lost its QB and so this is an example of a big powerhouse beating up on a team playing in its first bowl game in a long time. Obviously this was not a big game.
Win close --- OU struggles to win in bowl games and even had a hard time putting away lowly Stanford, playing without its starting QB.
Lose close --- ...

Hafta go with 1996. That Tulsa game, OMG. I remember the OT win over Texas
but it didn't make up for the fact that OU was undeniably sucky.

This season: Defense is lights out, and the offense is clicking pretty well for the Pack.
What position: I'd say OL. Rodgers has been sacked a ton, and we need to get someone who can shore up our OL which seems to be overachieving as it is. Also, I'd love to get Gerhart from Stanford as a FB... I love our O but still want more of a steady running game. Also a good opportunity to pick up a ...

What do you expect from college professors? They're just jealous of anyone who makes more money then them, because they are the most important people in the world and should be rewarded as such. At least they should determine who IS the most worthy of high pay.

The Big 10 would have no part in this as that would mean that their
existing teams could, at best, aspire to No. 2, and more likely (in a year
or three) No. 3 in their own conference.
