Had a meeting with council reps today to discuss the impacts of the roadworks on my property. The project is about 12 months long so that means it will be constant disturbances for tenants. This meeting gave me an idea: why don't i lease it to the council as a site office? I put it forward to them at the end of the meeting, half jokingly, but the more i think about it, the more sense it makes....

Some of the forumites were LOE or advocating the same. Just wondering how they are traveling in the current climate? Please don't get me wrong, this is in no way a dig at the strategy - something that I have in sight for an exit strategy. I want feed back on any one who is utilizing it?

Hi All, We have an IP in a large regional town in Vic, purchased in 2005. We are hoping to offload it in favour of another property. In 2005, I (not husband) stupidly jumped the gun and offered too much for it, then spent some money doing a basic repaint, recarpet etc. It is still marginally negatively geared with body corporate fees, seemingly high council rates etc...Capital growth has...

I know the whole wraps discussion has gone on various times and people are for or against them, but am interested in anyone who uses them as part of their strategy. I personally like the idea of CF+ and helping someone buy their own home. If you use wraps, how have you found them and any pointers you can provide as to what to watch out for when using them? At what point should your due...

In relation to my thread: www.somersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?p=459003#p ost459003 I have a real estate agent renting my unit which is attached to our PPOR.
