Good day. If your sled runs good i would leave it alone. The updates did not seem to hurt WOT performance but both my brother and my 08 M1000 (stock with can) sleds seemed to load up and run poorly at times. Dealer told me my warranty would be void without updates. Would not install the updates if i could do it over again.

It would be good to check your top end but no you dont need to change it if everything looksgood. If your say were runnin all of the goodies and pushn big horse power then yes you should change it every 500 miles. Its a good way to pervent a real real big issue. [ cheap insurance]

Re: 2010 m8 clutching I put in a straight 38 with a shift assist and it ran great. However I know of 3 others that have broken the new cat primary spring(cant remember the rate) but i am going to switch it out before next trip.I thing you will like this sled better than your old m 1000
