EventGhost sounds like a solution for some, but I'm using a Harmony remote which is completely programmable with macros and all that stuff. I think Event Ghost would be kinda duplicating what my remote normally does. Is that Firefly is an RF remote? I just checked the HTPC again and the remote control was again "stuck" and non-responsive. Had to turn on my mouse and select something in the BTV GUI to get the remote to...

Doesn't matter if it is 480, 720p or 1080i, you'll get TP if you're recording QAM. If you were getting MPG, then you were recording through the analog tuners.

Finally made it over the last hurdle. After trying a bunch of fixes, on a whim I tried 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost and it worked fine.

You are way ahead of my month long struggle. If 127.0,0.1 works and localhost doesn't, it sounds like they are not mapped to each other with following line in your " hosts " file: Code: 127.0.0.1 localhost __________________ 3.20GHz HT...

Why do you have to reboot? If this is happening more than a couple of times per year, there is something wrong BB

Do you have a large library of shows? Are all the folders local, or are they on networked drives. I believe either of those conditions can cause a delay in your BTV start up.

Recycled means the process that controls that tuner was aborted and re-started. Hopefully, that "fixed" the problem (the bug that caused it is still there, but hopefully you won't get there again )
It's the same when tech support tells you to re-boot and see if the problem goes away.

Is there any chance that you had configured the new tuners to be used for Live TV only (i.e. they won't be considered by the scheduler for recordings)?

Well, looks like the gold is coming out.
Ok, other threads have covered this, but here's my summary. I had a c1 version that eventually became unstable so I RMA'd it. I got an E1 as a replacement. This needs the 1.05.2 driver to work, if you use an older driver with btv you need to reboot the tuner for each recording job or livetv. I wonder if the interaction with SS contributed to this driver...

I can't answer your Divx question, but, as an aside, if Silverlight works on his PC he can watch the programs from a remote location. Silver light transcodes on the fly to windows media to stream my .mpg, and .tp files remotely.

Forgot to state, incase it matters, these are HD tuners so I am recording off of Clear QAM channels.
To be honest, I'm not sure which channels are HD, if any. I swear I saw one or two when I was mapping the QAM channels to my normal channel line-up.
My only thought to a potential source of the problem is that I have showsqueeze compressing both SD and HD sources...

1. Do you have automatic Updates enabled? Not a good thing to do.
2. Check the Hardware Manager to see if the IR Receiver is functioning.
3. You may need to reinstall the Hauppauge drivers.
4. What OS are you running?
And yes, it could have gone bad.
If there is an error in the Harware Manager for the IR device, then I would try deleting it from the manager and have ...

This appears to be broken in BeyondTV v4.9.2. I followed in the FAQ here and it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Couple of questions:
1) How does the TV look when playing content directly from your DISH box?
2) Was this BTV installation hooked to a TV before, what kind (HD or SD?) and how did that look?
3) Your source is analog from the PVR 150, but it should be acceptable in playback. Have you tried playing a DVD through the system to see if improving the source clears up the picture?
I would try...

Hey, you finally dove into the deep end. It sounds like you have everything setup right in BTV. Did you hook up both DTAs using a combiner? I used only one DTA for awhile until I got a combiner that worked. I only added one of the PVR tuners in BTV. I spit the output of the DTA so I could connect to a TV and the PVR for debug.

This has nothing to do with Windows 7. SD will record to Mpeg. HD will ONLY record to TP.

Keep in mind that you can only use any two of those at the same time.
Maybe that has something to do with it?

As I recall, this is a spurious message often associated with video driver problems.
Yeah, makes no sense. Try updating your drivers.
