The passenger side seatbelt is supposed to lock up all the time. it is that way so you can use it for a car seat. I don't particularly care for it but what can you do about it.

75MPH speedometer 90MPH scangauge
Published (2009-12-31 10:46:00)
Oh you guys are gonna love this: - I was going 75MPH for 15 minutes just now, it felt a bit windy so I took my eyes and hands off the road (oh relax; my knee can hold the wheel) while i checked the scangauge. I was traveling at 90MPH the whole time. -is the speedometer broken since the 2.0 update 2 weeks ago? -My TPMS keeps alerting me every 5 minutes, but my tires are at 40psi. Maybe it's my whole computer ready to die?

I thought for sure it was fixed this time! right after I started this thread, they replaced EVERYTHING related to the alarm. Tow sensor, motion sensor..and the door and hatch sensors. I found the tow sensor is once again, being a pain. Just a mere gust of wind sets it off. Literally just kicking the front tires is enough shake to set it off. Took it in, they replaced it today. The tech tested it right there. Still did it! They're still...

That looks pretty neat! Am I understanding correctly that this spare is about 50% as wide as the 15x6 Sport Edition SM3 spare I sold?

Hey, i know it's been a while since your post but in case you're paying someone to reset it heres something you can try. 1-turn the key to the on position and press the button on left side of spedometer twice, holding it in on the second tap.(tap quickly, sort of like your double clicking a mouse. the service indicator should be blinking even when you turn the key off) 2-turn key off while ...

If you stick a small flat head screw driver in there you can usually press against the part of the tab that is left broken on the lock mech. You'll end up pressing down and back kinda and it will release not a lot of resistance on it.

I don't know if this is much help, but I've noticed on particularly quiet drives, if I listen carefully enough. I can hear the servos shift the gears...highish sounding and very quiet.. hence the quiet drive part.

That plug is missing the screen for the oil pickup as found on the OEM plug. Not sure that's a good trade-off.

I,m probably going to go for the spare too. Mostly because I not interested in using their system in the rain, snow storm, hurricane, freezing cold, which is probably when I'll get my flat. But like others here it's been a long time since I have actually needed a spare. ( but the cars have had them)

My record keeping for mods ain't so great. I got the car in July 2008, and I'm going on memory for which mods were done before 1/1/2009. Excluded: Air horn, SGII, Antenna, Polk 651s. Sounds like the computer may be fine but the speedometer needle may be limited. Have the SC Orlando tech go for an actual test drive. You need to know if you're going 75, 80 or 90. If the speedometer shows 75 and you're really doing 90, Smart USA doesn't want you suing them. They'll accommodate your request for accuracy one way or another.

Yes if the car has alarm it will chirp once for unlock. Three times to verify doors shut (not sure on back window) and will I believe chirp twice if alarm was triggered apron unlocking.

The smell is probably from the adhesives that hold the friction material in your clutch face together. (they stink when they over heat) Hope they do the right thing for you, good luck. karl
