I have demolished man a html site to put a wordpress site over the top. There is just no comparision. It is the best.

I haven't used Wordpress. I did use Blogger to create a blog. I found it easy to use. just drag and drop the modules and enter the text, your blog would be ready.

Did anybody mention that you can set up a blogging account with wordpress or blogger? I realize he's starting at the very beginning but I still think those site will help him to figure it all out, the whole trial and error method. Plus everybody is just giving slightly different definitions now instead of helpful information. That's my 2 cents, take it or leave it but have a good time on these forums, they've help answer all...

Have a backup plan. Maybe read some of Seth Godin's books. I haven't read his Purple Cow book but it's on my list
