Thanks for trying Judy - I edited the post about 6 times, and uploaded the picture to my own website and Google, but neither seem to accept linking back to Slowtravel. I must see if I can find somewhere else to put these photos that does work. TimW

Of Course you have to get your picture in front of the Emerald City that simply was Harrods. Now there is a pair of Ginormous red slippers (on the tube side)where the building has fallen on the wicked witch. A trip to the Apollo Theater to see 'Wicked' would make it all the more memorable! Enjoy your visit.

Mmmm - 1. Well, the classic image is the Regent Street lights (better usually than the Oxford Street ones) with a nice sweep of Regency terrace behind. Only trouble is the pesky presence of so many other people on the pavement 2. The big tree in Trafalgar Square (annual gift from the Norwegians, I think) looks lovely. Angle it right and you could get a lion or two, or even Lord Nelson. (The ...

Tara - I hope one of our UK members will have the information you need, but looking at the Arsenal website, it looks as if tickets to the only game during your stay ( December 19)is sold out - but I didn't explore the site, so there may be information there on checking for last minute tickets. It sounds as though you are planning a wonderful holiday for your family. I hope you will submit a ...
