GLady, I also have the FnP FlexFit 407. I LOVE this mask for comfort and while of the two mentioned above the 407 had the least condensation, I have been seeing it condense a lot more lately as I have been cranking the humidity WAY up 3-5 on the RemStar "M". The trouble seems to be the vent placement in the 90deg elbow of the mask, instead of closer to the exhalation point. I am sure that the FnP "heard" complaints about...

Thanks for the suggestions. I loosened the straps tonight. The attachment for the chin strap is right over my sore tooth and the head straps were so tight, no wonder I got a headache. I awoke three hours later to the CPAP going full blast at 13 units of pressure and learned the meaning of "massive air leak" in the mask. At that speed, the machine didn't care if I breathed or not (not that it ever did). I adjusted the mask a bit...

Please post your machine, pressures, etc so we can help you..... Don't give up......the first nights are the worst.  If you want to continue with that mask, you can put a bandaid on your nose or use moleskin....otherwise if it doesn't work for you after a decent try or you're fed up, please go back to the dme and have a mask fitted to you that works better.  Every person is different, every...

That is great that you are doing so well! You may have already done this, but go to any online store (since the ASAA is not for profit we can't post those) and compare weights.  The lightest PAP used to be the Goodnight, but I see it is no longer being manufactured.  I have the IntelliPAP and love it.  But even if it is a backup PAP, get an auto.  You never know when...

Could be due to pressure from the mask or from clenching your teeth while sleeping or by lying in an awkward position because of your cpap or it could be strictly coincidental. My personal experience is that I had lots of pain in my teeth when I started cpap. It went away after a few weeks -- all on its own (after I spent $$$s on a dental night guard which I subsequently hated and didn't use).  Check with your dentist...

Sure sounds classic for Obstructive Sleep Apnea to me. Your description is very clear. Nocturia, snoring, interrupted sleep. One to two hours is a pretty classic sleep cycle.

Thank You, I have one noted and I was not informed by the Health care provider. So far my experience is that I have to be proactive to get quality care. I just received a new Respironics Remstar (M Series A-Flex). These machines are so comfortable compared to the regular CPAP. But I had to suggest it to my physician as an alternative device. And who wants to sleep with a ...

Mary I am not familiar with your type of mask, but is it strictly a nasal mask? and it doesn't cover the mouth? To be honest I am not sure how that the CPAP could be affecting the sensitivity of your tooth, unless you are using a chin strap and it is causing your teeth to be pushed together and causing pressure on that sensitive tooth! Reguardless of the cause have you tried using any on the ...

Mike, The good news about the software is that you have the right machine for it. The soft ware you need is called EncoreViewer 1.0 Software and you also need the USB Smart Card Reader. I forget the specific type, but online retailers have it in a bundle. There is a way to prevent condensation from building up in the hose by using a hose wrap to insulate it. If you keep the worm ...

Eagle the first thing you should do is make an appointment with your Sleep Doctor and get scheduled for another sleep study, if it has been years since you have used it, I am sure you have changed and most probably your sleeping too! You might need a different pressure setting or possibly even a different machine, and a new mask would most definitely be in order! Why not just start the New Year...

I used the Swift for four years and liked it very much. My nostrils did get a little sore at first but that passes. As to the connections, you need another hose piece to make the connection. It's kind of a 'step down' attachment, about a foot long, smaller diameter than the regular 6' hose, with a bend at the end. The thing is sort of the shape of a golf club. The attachment ...
