This was in the chieftain about the sds. Black cloud FIVE OF the nine members of Colorado Springs City Council caved in to anti-government scold Douglas Bruce last week and voted to end that city’s stormwater enterprise at the end of this month. The council previously had voted to phase out the enterprise in two years after Mr. Bruce’s Issue 300 was approved by voters last month. When that council vote was taken, some members argued that...

Thanks, although would you have preferred the same for the wells Fargo building (to have it stepped back)? I think this location deserves a prominent new tallest. If the building is set back from main street, you loose the slot canyon effect down main street, and it would also expose more of the less ornate side of the Kearns building. Notice it is stepped back from 100 south. I do agree about the architecture being modern though.

noooo you don't have to know how to speed read to do that.... it's inherent in human beings when they learn written English (and probably other languages based on an invariable alphabet)

UB, I like it. I wonder if the facade of the tall building, particularly the bottom should have a modern feel to it, to offset it from the historic structures that are next to it. What do you think? I struggle with the large mass towering over the lower historic buildings. I think some height is okay there, but I think I would step the building back after about the fourth floor. Maybe 10-15 feet, so that at the street level it is not as...

Maybe that explains something I've been wondering about. They laid something like a road base on top of the cement running north and east of the regent. Maybe they'll put tracks on it for the crane. It could actually be in an "L" shape. Interesting idea.
